It’s been reported that Jean-Claude Mas, the man behind Poly Implant Prothese (PIP) has now been charged, along with former CEO Claude Couty with causing “involuntary injury”.
The apparently ailing Mr Mas, along with his ex-colleague has been released on bail.
Lawyer for many PIP clients, Laurent Gaudon said; ‘It’s the feeling that justice is advancing and they have not been forgotten. It’s the assurance that the guilty are at last going to be held accountable.”
There apparently remains a suggestion that following the death of one woman in France there may be a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Both men are also expecting a court appearance later in the year on a separate charge of fraud.
