Surgical Innovations (SI) has been shortlisted for two prestigious awards: the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards SME Manufacturer of the Year and AIM Awards 2011 Best Technology. The winners of both awards are to be announced on October 13.
Featuring on the shortlist for the sixth annual Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards, SI has been recognised as one of the region’s most successful businesses. The award is being sponsored by TC Harrison JCB, and shortlisted nominees are Acorn Brewery, Wellhouse Leisure and Surgical Innovations. The winner is to be announced in a glittering ceremony attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and hosted by impressionist Jon Culshaw.
Shortlisted in the Best Technology category for the AIM Awards 2011 to be held in London, the nomination reflects the outstanding innovation in technology achieved by SI. The Best Technology award is being sponsored by Merchant Securities, and shortlisted nominees are Andor Technology, DDD Group, IQE and Surgical Innovations.
Graham Bowland, Chief Executive Officer of SI, said, “It is a fantastic honour to be recognised both regionally and nationally by nominations for the AIM Awards and the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.”
