Women’s health device maker Pelican Feminine Healthcare will be launching two products from its Gynaecology and Obstetrics range at Arab Health 2016.
Background
Next week’s Arab Health 2016 is the largest healthcare exhibition and medical congress in the Middle East. Among the hundreds of exhbiting companies will be Pelican Feminine Healthcare, a company that says it is committed to the continuous developments of pioneering healthcare solutions in women’s health. Pelican will be showcasing its newest innovations at the congress, including the FETOfit®, a strapless foetal monitoring solution and PELIspec® Pro-Wall designed to offer added vaginal wall support.
The company describes its FETOfit® as a disposable device specifically designed to secure both TOCO and CTG transducers quickly and easily for foetal monitoring. The hypoallergenic adhesive pads adhere directly to the front of the abdomen with a flexible material that moulds to body contours, offering a secure fit whilst promoting maternal comfort and mobility with easy access for epidural.
The PELIspec® Pro-Wall® is a device that provides a professional solution in cases of anterior vaginal wall laxity. It features a ready-applied latex-free sheath configured to efficiently secure an unobstructed view of the cervical anatomy ensuring maximum visibility during the procedure, whilst saving time wasted modifying existing speculum.
Launching in the Middle East for the first time, both products promise a cost effective but high quality single-use solution.
The company says its goals in attending Arab Health are to gain feedback from the Middle Eastern medical community on the products and discuss how single-use products can best benefit hospitals in the region.
Company comments
Export Manager, Michael Denver, said: “Our products are revolutionising the single-use market and are fast becoming products of choice for health services and professionals worldwide. We are keen to build on this success in the Middle East and Arab Health is the perfect platform to appoint new partners in the region and develop existing relationships.”
“We have invested heavily in the design and manufacture of products including the market-leading PELIspec® – strength tested every four hours to ensure it meets stringent product specifications. These checks are conducted at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the UK, which since 2011 has served international markets with production of over 15 million vaginal speculum.”
