Custom Spine announced today that Randal Clarke is the new Vice President of Sales for the Western region. Randy has been in the orthopedic medical device market for over 27 years and has expertise in developing markets for new products and building successful start-up organizations.
Randy’s career began as a sales representative for Zimmer, which was followed by a sales career at Linvatec. He then started Advanced Orthopedic Systems, a distribution company for orthopedic products from Linvatec sports medicine, Bionx and Hall Surgical Power with revenue in excess of $11 million. Randy also held management positions at two companies in the emerging technology field, Osteobiologics and ConforMIS, where he was an integral part of the strategic launch of new product lines for both companies. While at Osteobiologics, Randy also helped ensure a smooth transition in the Smith & Nephew purchase of Osteobiologics through sales training and support.
Lew Bennett, President of Custom Spine, recently stated: “Randy will be a great asset to our management team. His vast knowledge of the orthopedic industry combined with his experience of distributorships and management of developing markets, will further support Custom Spine’s growth initiative.”
