DePuy Synthes Showcases Trauma Portfolio at ECTES 2015, Amsterdam

It’s trauma time this week at the ECTES congress, an even at which DePuy Synthes Companies are showing off their extensive wares

J&J’s DePuy Synthes is at the 16th European Congress for Trauma and Emergency Surgery in Amsterdam this week, showcasing its latest trauma solutions designed to enhance patient care whilst delivering clinical and economic value to healthcare professionals.

DePuy Synthes Companies unquestionably offer one of the more broad ranges of technology, devices, services and programs in the areas of joint reconstruction, trauma, spine, sports medicine, neurological, cranio-maxillofacial, power tools and biomaterials. At the ECTS event the company is showcasing quite a slice of its portfolio, including the EXPERT Family of Nails: presented via the DePuy Synthes Trauma, Nailing Discovery Lab – an interactive display demonstrating the value to the customer of the broadly indicated, user-friendly DePuy Synthes nailing portfolio.

Also on show is the MatrixRIB™ Fixation System: a system of pre-contoured, low-profile titanium plates, locking screws and intramedullary splints for use in surgical fixation and stabilization of rib fractures.

Probably one of the more of-the-minute offerings is the recently announced Modular Procedure Kit concept, a new adaptive surgical tooling kit that can be tailored for each surgery resulting in the generation of surgical and economic efficiencies.

Alongside its main presentation products the company is touting its Colibri II Li-Ion battery-driven power tool system, and its Electric Pen Drive (EPD): an electrically-powered system to be used for treatment in general traumatology, hand, foot, spine and maxillofacial regions and neurosurgery.

And to top it all off, the company is offering a lunch time workshop to drive awareness of the clinical and patient benefits associated with osteosynthesis of rib fractures, hosted by Dr. Raum, Helios Klinik Siegburg, and Dr. Mike Bemelman, Tilburg, Netherlands, senior chair of the ESTES who will later speak on the podium to the title “Rib fixation – fiction & facts”.
