Financial Press Releases: What can’t speak can’t lie.

Whatever PR fluff is attached to them, the numbers you see in financial press releases are mostly capable of withstanding forensic scrutiny. For that reason we’re falling back in love with them, despite their rather anodyne nature.

It’s been a busy week covering the many financial summaries that have been out there. Q4 2013 and full year reports are often pretty dull affairs, but they do represent the best window into a company’s success or failure that we in the “general public are likely to get.
