Never one to miss a milestone, Israeli spinal device company Expanding Orthopedics Inc. has announced that over 2,000 XPED, Expanding Pedicle Screws have now been implanted in Europe. Last time we covered Expanded Orthopaedics it was to announce the 1000th implantation last December, but hey, we all love a milestone don’t we?
The most recent event took place at the famous Unfallklinik Frankfurt am Main, Frankfurt am Main, Germany and was performed by Dr. Klaus Schnake.

Dr. Schnake, Leitender Oberarzt at the Center for Spinal Surgery and Neurotraumatology, Berufsgenossenschaftliche Unfallklinik in Frankfurt and Executive Officer of the “Junges Forum” (young surgeons) of the German Spine Society (DWG) said, “As one of the national work accident related clinics, we attract patients from all over Germany with a variety of bone and disc pathologies, including fractures.
