Medical device sales reps are so numerous as to represent a subspecies all of their own. And they’re hugely expensive things, paid for ultimately by the buyers of their products…which is all of us.
This week we wrestle with the status quo one more time as we try to understand how it can be that brilliant physicians end up spending time haggling with tech peddlers. And we conclude that as communications vehicles go, medtech sales reps are pretty darned effective compared with the alternatives.
