Speeding up adoption of new technology is widely regarded as desirable, but how desirable is it if the supporting evidence is hard to come by or questionable? Then again, how many new device technologies have arrived at market only to be gigantically problematic? We decide we don’t know the answer, but we do know that we’d like to see the clinical evidence for ourselves before we get too far down the tracks.
