Abstract
Wright Medical Group, Inc. has started the new year by announcing the launch of the ORTHOLOC™ 3Di Ankle Fracture System and the QUICKDRAW™ Knotless Soft Tissue Fixation System. Both products will be immediately available in the U.S. through Wright Medical’s specialized foot and ankle sales force. They will also be marketed in select countries outside the U.S. through Wright Medical’s direct and distributor-based sales organization.
ORTHOLOC™ 3Di Ankle Fracture System
The ORTHOLOC™ 3Di Ankle Fracture System is a comprehensive single-tray ankle fracture solution designed to address a wide range of fracture types and classifications. Employing the highly versatile ORTHOLOC™ 3Di polyaxial locking technology, this system provides multiple anatomically-contoured plates and a comprehensive set of instrumentation to enable the surgeon to match the appropriate implant construct with the patient and fracture type and can decrease logistical complications in the operating room. Ankle fractures represent one of the most common injuries in the foot with approximately 170,000 ankle fractures treated surgically each year.
QUICKDRAW™ Soft Tissue Fixation System
Based on ArthroCare’s market-leading Opus® knotless suturing technology, the QUICKDRAW™ Soft Tissue Fixation System provides a solution for a variety of soft tissue reattachment procedures of the foot and ankle, which number over 250,000 surgeries each year in the U.S. The system is composed of the BELAY™ and MINI-BELAY™ Knotless Suture Anchors, RAPPEL-LINE™ Surgical Suture and instrumentation that is designed to simplify suture management and placement. When combined, these components can quickly and securely fixate or reattach tendons within the foot and ankle, including the challenging repair and reconstruction procedures of the Achilles tendon.
