Corin Launches FX Solutions Humelock Reverse Shoulder in U.S.

System intended for treatment of massive rotator cuff tear with severe shoulder arthritis

European orthopaedic device comapny, Corin Group is to launch the Humelock Reversed Shoulder System in the U.S., Germany and U.K. Humelock is used to treat patients with both a massive rotator cuff tear and a severe form of shoulder arthritis.

Background

So-called cuff tear arthropathy causes pain and reduced mobility in the arm and shoulder and is the target condition for the Humelock Reversed Shoulder System, which was developed by French upper extremity specialist, FX Solutions. The device is already available in Europe and other international markets and received FDA clearance in January. Now, under the terms of a distribution agreement that covers the U.S., Germany and U.K., and also includes the Humelock II™ Cementless and Cemented Anatomical and Reversible Fracture Shoulder Systems, Corin will launch the system in the United States.
