K2M, Inc., a company famously focused on the more complex spine pathologies, has launched its MESA® Small Stature Spinal System in the Australian, New Zealand, and European spine markets. The system was debuted last year as we reported here, and now has CE mark as well as FDA 510(k) clearance.
MESA Small Stature is the company’s first posterior spinal fixation product available for small stature patients. The 4.5 mm pedicle screw system provides surgeons with the lowest profile alternative for treating small stature patients and, coupled with K2M’s Zero-Torque Technology®, is designed to address the most difficult correction manoeuvres.
This announcement marks the latest in a series of international accomplishments for K2M. Recent milestones include the Italian launch of the MESA Spinal Systems and SERENGETI® Minimally Invasive Retractor Systems in December, as well as the debut of Rail 4D™ Technology in Denmark, Germany, Holland, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, and Ireland.
