Titan Spine has appeared on our pages before, most recently last October when the company reached its 18000 patient milestone in Europe. Now the spinal interbody fusion implant company has announced that it has expanded use of its Endoskeleton® line of devices to the United Kingdom and Spain.

Background

Titan Spine’s primary expertise lies in its knowledge of surface technology and how it impacts on the performance of spinal surgery devices. The company’s Endoskeleton® interbody fusion devices feature the company’s proprietary implant surface technology, consisting of a unique combination of roughened topographies at the macro, micro, and cellular levels. The combination of surface textures has been shown to promote an enhanced osteogenic environment when compared to smooth titanium or PEEK. As a result, Titan Spine’s Endoskeleton implants actively participate in the fusion process and function more than standard interbody spacers, claims the company.
