The UK’s Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) will host a pavilion at the forthcoming Africa Health Exhibition. In partnership with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), this will be the first time the organisation has elected to so heavily commit to the event.
About the Africa Health Exhibition
Africa Health Exhibition is the continent’s largest healthcare event. Set to attract over 6,000 professional visitors, ABHI tells us it represents a prime opportunity for UK HealthTech companies to engage with key stakeholders in Africa’s dynamic market. It will take place in Cape Town from 22-24 October 2024.
The three day event will feature over 500 exhibitors from over 40 countries. Co-located with Medlab Africa, it features a revamped conference format, with half-day sessions and ample networking sessions. This will allow attendees to fully engage in both educational sessions and the exhibition.
With only a few spaces left, ABHI is inviting interested companies to contact their event’s organiser here. Participating companies will also receive tailored support from ABHI’s International team. This will include one-on-one consultations with DBT specialists.
Guesting on the Pavilion will be Dr. Robert Karanja, an Angel Investor from Villgro Africa. With extensive experience in health innovation and a successful track record in launching healthcare ventures across Africa, Dr. Karanja will provide valuable insights and facilitate key introductions.
With a focus on driving export growth and fostering collaborations, the ABHI UK Pavilion aims to strengthen the presence of UK HealthTech companies in this fast-growing region.
ABHI comments

We want UK HealthTech companies to be at the forefront of this transformation. As Africa rapidly becomes a powerhouse in the global HealthTech sector, Africa Health offers a unique opportunity for companies to showcase their cutting-edge innovations and connect with key stakeholders in a market full of potential.”
