Orthofix has announced that Bryan McMillan has been appointed as the new president of its global spine business unit, effective immediately.
Mr McMillan has been with the company since March 2010 in positions of escalating responsibility and will now be tasked with overseeing all elements of its spinal implants and spine stimulation businesses.
Prior to this, he was employed as executive vice-president and general manager of the spinal implants business and previously as vice-president of global development for spinal implants.
This will be the first time that Orthofix will be managing its spinal implants and spine stimulation operations collectively.
Robert Vaters, the company’s president and chief executive officer of Orthofix, said: “He can further drive growth while creating synergies and cross-selling opportunities between our best in class spinal implants, biologics and our market leading spinal stimulation products.”
Mr Vaters was himself promoted to his current role in charge of the company earlier this year, succeeding Alan Milinazzo.
