What Does the NHS Five Year Plan Mean for Mr Medtech?

This week’s editorial states what we’d hope is the obvious. Medical Technology is an essential component in delivering tomorrow’s healthcare.

Smart companies understand their customers implicitly. So when a customer the size of the UK’s NHS spells out its plans for the next five years, and when those plans include greater reliance on medical technology, only the most foolish medtech company wouldn’t try to work out what it means for them.

It might seem obvious, but the day job often leaves us all a bit too close to the woods to see the trees, so this week’s View from the Med has a go at provoking thoughts about what the NHS document might mean for the aspiring medical technology company.
